GPF Malaysia

The Global Peace Festival (GPF) is a peacebuilding initiative that promotes peace through the arts, sports, service and education. It is an expression of the universal human aspiration for a world of lasting peace. GPF promotes and celebrates persons and programs that contribute to reconciliation, mutual respect, harmony and cooperation among the members of the whole human family; transcending race, religion, nationality and culture as ‘One Global Family Under God’.

The ILC is being convened as an integral part of the GPF. The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and United Nations Association of Malaysia (UNAM) are working together to convene the ILC in order to provide support for leaders throughout the world in their conscientious efforts to address and resolve critical problems.

There is a growing awareness among people throughout the world of the urgent need for innovative vision and courageous leadership if we are to resolve the critical issues of our time.

The ILC program addresses this need.

The Universal Peace Federation’s International Leadership Conference (ILC) series focuses on the urgent need for new vision and moral leadership. Presentations    offer a comprehensive framework for peacebuilding and development grounded in core values and universal principles.

The program includes an in -depth analysis     of root causes of conflicts, providing a sound basis for evaluating development and peacebuilding efforts and for fostering interreligious and intercultural harmony and cooperation. Sample peacebuilding initiatives are presented, based on collaborations among governments, religions, NGOs and the private sector.
